January Newsletter

Dear Brothers, Sisters and Volunteers:

‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. Let the LORD make his face shine upon you, and give you favour. May the LORD lift up his face to you and give you peace.’    (Numbers 6:24-26)

As we entered year 2025, we could already feel the fullness of our Heavenly Father’s grace. The ’45th Anniversary Carnival and Walkathon’of the CMVIP was successfully held on 11 January. Under the cold winter weather, there were games and performances by the visually impaired at the City Art Square of the New Town Plaza in Shatin. In the afternoon, a walk along the Shing Mun River was held, and about $220,000 was raised as sponsorship on the day of the event.

The launching ceremony was graced by the presence of artiste Mr Kimman Wong, who was very supportive of the event. In addition, Mr. Daniel To, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CMVIP, delivered a speech to the guests and participants. The walk started and ended at the City Art Square and most of the participants completed the whole walk in just over an hour. Participants supported each other and walked with one heart and one mind to carry forward the mission and needs of CMVIP. Jan Wong, a member of CMVIP who has been actively participating for many years, said, “As a visually impaired person who has benefited from CMVIP services, I am very grateful to the centre for providing us with a lot of spiritual support, and it is an obligation for me to contribute to CMVIP for the sake of the Kingdom of God.”

We sincerely invite you to join us in the ” Action for Love Donation 2025″ on this joyous occasion of the Lunar New Year by donating a portion of your red pocket money to support the work of the CMVIP, so that viusally imopaired will be blessed with your care and support!
