August Newsletter

Dear Brothers, Sisters and Volunteers:

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels inheaven, nor the Son,[fl but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah,so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”    (Matthew 24:36-37)NIV

Recently, the Hong Kong Observatory has hosted several black rainstorm signals, reminding us of theuncertainty and fragility of life. As we enjoy the comforts of daily life, should we also be mindful of ourinner spirit? In Noah’s day, people were did want to belive on the coming disaster, and this numbness causedthem to lose their chance of salvation. Today, we face similar challenges: the busyness of life and theconstant barrage of information may cause us to overlook God’s call to our hearts. Vigilance is not only about being alert to the outside world but also about reflecting on our inner selvec.  May we in this era of uncertainty, remain steadfast in our faith, no matter how the environment changes, and become a child who continue to rely on the Heavenly Father with unwavering resolve amidst the storms.

Thank the Lord for His guidance! The Hong Kong Bible Conference has been successfully concluded for 10 days.CWVIP broadcasted the conference by zoom software to enable visually impaired to listen to the BibleConference via landline telephones and computers. Additionally, 34 individuals required CVIP to arrangebraille or text document programmes and scriptures. On average, 18 visually impaired people participated ineach session through our system, while others accessed our daily provided URL to listen to the sessions onYouTube independently. Over the 10 days, a total of 403 people used CVIP services to participate. Thankthe Lord for granting us modern technology, enabling visually impaired people in need to hear God’s words. May we all grow together in the Spirit!

Ministry Needs and Prayers:
1. Please pray for the renovation of CWVIP, which is now halfway complete. We hope that the donations raisedwill be sufficient to cover all costs and allow the project to be completed smoothly.

2. Thanks to God’s grace, the summer camp held in July this year was a great success! Despite the challengesposed by rainy weather during the event, nearly 30 visually impaired participants enjoyed a safe and smoothexperience throughout. During the camp, everyone shared warm and meaningful fellowship through richinteractions and carefully designed activities, witnessing the beautiful connections between their lives.

3. Please pray for CMVIP as it launches a study course on the Book of Zechariah in September. We humbly askthe Holy Spirit to work, so that God’s Word may flow like a living spring, nourishing hearts, guiding us tofind strength in truth, and enabling us to live lives that please God.

4. Please continue to pray for CMVIP’s regular expenses and ask our Heavenly Father to move more brothersand sisters to make regular contributions to our center.
